Peter Macdonald is a Flinders Ranges based landscape photographer
who lives and works in the Outback of Australia.
Peter is a former commercial pilot who has flown in some of the remotest parts of Australia
including the Kimberly Country of Western Australia, Cape York and the
Red Centre but returned to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia to take up photography.
A good understanding of the local geology, native flora and fauna and the traditions and
dreamtime stories of the Adnyamathanaha people who are the traditional landowners
is often reflected in his work which he sees as more than just a snapshot of a beautiful place.
